Cliniserve develops digital solutions that ease the workload of hospital teams in their day-to-day operations. Our work combines technology, research, and close collaboration with clinical practice to make hospital processes simpler, more transparent, and more reliable. Our vision is a healthcare system in which digital support breaks down silos and enables smooth collaboration among the people who care for patients every day.

Cliniserve was founded because we wanted to build a company that makes a meaningful difference over the long term. Not a short-term project, but a stable company with healthy growth, strong employees, and a clear contribution to the healthcare sector.
From the very beginning, we have deliberately focused on inpatient care as the coordinating hub of patient care. Together with Munich-based hospitals, nursing professionals, and research partners, we have examined key challenges in clinical processes—from the ward level to the broader organizational structure. This has resulted in solutions that are scientifically grounded, developed with practicality in mind, and reliably applicable in everyday hospital settings. This close connection to nursing continues to shape Cliniserve to this day.
What began as the founding idea of an interdisciplinary team from the Center for Digital Technology & Management is now an established nursing process platform for hospitals of all sizes in the DACH region. Supported by long-term partners such as Bayern Kapital, Plug and Play, and Miele, we are growing in a healthy and sustainable manner.
Today, Cliniserve stands for mobile process management in hospitals: developed with practical needs in mind, reliable in use, and committed to significantly reducing the workload of nursing staff.

Join an established team that is helping to shape mobile process control in hospitals—with a practical focus, a strong research foundation, and clients throughout the DACH region.

We love to learn and explore—both as individuals and as a company. We remain flexible, open to new ideas, and challenge the status quo. We foster an environment where everyone has the freedom and opportunity to grow through real-world tasks, shared knowledge, and mutual support. In doing so, we strengthen our skills, our company, our products’ market position, and the value we deliver to nurses.
We design products and solutions in collaboration with our customers, ensuring they provide real value for nurses. We take every concern seriously and work closely with customers to address their needs. By getting to know them, listening carefully, and collaborating directly on their requirements, we build solutions that stand the test of time and relationships that grow stronger. Our customers value us not only for our excellent service, but also for our genuine partnership.
We take responsibility—for ourselves, for others, and for the projects of our customers and partners. We proactively share updates on our progress and ask for help when needed. In doing so, we foster an atmosphere of trust and transparency, where we can fully rely on ourselves, our colleagues, and our collaboration with customers.
We tackle challenges with creativity and efficiency. Being resourceful means making the best use of our own time and energy, while respecting that of our colleagues and customers. We seek smart solutions that are effective, scalable, and sustainable. We challenge the status quo and look for better ways—ensuring progress without waste.
We all have our responsibilities and tasks—but we cherish the opportunity to share them with others and to collaborate. We’ve realized that this makes us more efficient and is more enjoyable for us. Together, we’re stronger than the sum of our parts. We especially love finding solutions to problems together. We extend this approach to our customers and partners. Our organization is built on collaboration and cross-functional roles rather than rigid divisions.
We want everyone to be their best self—both at work and in their personal lives. This means giving and receiving feedback openly, as a sign of mutual respect and appreciation. It also means looking out for one another, standing together in challenging situations, and offering support when needed. In this way, we foster an environment where people feel valued, confident, and satisfied in their work.
We are all different, and we value that. We don’t have to pretend to be someone else; instead, we have the confidence to be ourselves, and others respect and value us for it. We offer transparency and consistency to one another and to our customers, and we are curious and open-minded.
We thrive on—and are committed to—delivering the best possible service. At the same time, we recognize that trying—and sometimes failing—is an essential part of innovation and growth. That’s why we create safe spaces and safety nets where everyone can experiment, learn, and take risks without putting the team or our customers at risk. By supporting one another as we try new solutions and evolve, we ensure that we can continue to innovate while remaining 100% reliable.
Since its founding, Cliniserve has been involved in research projects that help shape the clinical processes of tomorrow. For us, research isn’t just theory separate from the product; it’s a way to understand the needs of caregivers, hospitals, and patients early on and translate them into practical solutions.
As a nursing process platform, we work on a wide range of future-oriented topics—from robotics and sensor technology to AI-supported care planning and telecare in acute care settings. In this way, we combine product development, practical relevance, and research with the goal of making everyday hospital life simpler, more transparent, and more reliable in the long term.
Do you have a research idea related to nursing, hospital processes, or digital support in hospitals? We look forward to discussing it with you and would be happy to explore whether this could lead to a joint project with Cliniserve.
The GBA Innofonds research project WELCOME focuses on the telemedical care of premature infants in a post-hospital setting—provided from the respective wards of the project partners, the University of Munich Medical Center and Charité Berlin. The research project aims to develop a future-oriented form of care. In the context of a changing hospital and healthcare landscape, the envisioned transition is ideally suited for application to other care pathways involving complex care situations. Furthermore, it represents a potential outreach from university medicine to primary care and aligns with the expansion of cross-sector care planned under the Hospital Care Improvement Act, specifically the shift toward outpatient treatment for inpatient care. As a technology partner, Cliniserve handles all technical aspects and integrates the research project into the clinics’ real-world care through Cliniserve CARE.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) is funding DIEP, a new market-readiness project at the UKE, aimed at further improving the safety of patients who, particularly due to mental or neurological conditions, tend to get lost or wander off within the hospital. In this project, Cliniserve is integrating a localization function and safety zone division into Cliniserve CARE, which utilizes Hypros’ technology to deliver the desired solution.

REsPonSe is a BMBF-funded collaborative research project comprising the following partners: LMU Medical Center, the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Cliniserve GmbH, and Robotise GmbH.The goal of the project is to alleviate the strain on the nursing staff’s limited human resources through the use of the Cliniserve® communication app and the JEEVES® service robot. Through the communication app, patients can submit specific requests to the ward staff or ward staff members can communicate with one another, with simple, non-nursing tasks being handled by the service robot. To this end, the combined system is to be integrated into the daily routine of the ward and adapted to the needs of staff and patients. This innovative, practice-oriented, and forward-looking approach could offer a sustainable solution to resource shortages, from which other stakeholders in the healthcare or hospital sector could benefit. The research project has a duration of three years (February 2020 – January 2023) and is divided into nine work packages and three project phases.

The ReduSys collaborative project aims to improve patient care and the nursing environment through contactless vital sign monitoring, digital nursing assistance, and robotics: this helps avoid inefficient workflows, such as redundant trips. At the same time, necessary contact with patients—such as complex care tasks or personal interactions—is to be encouraged. To this end, technologies are to be developed that alleviate the burden on clinical care and enable safe care in exceptional situations. These include a smart patient bed for recording health data, a digital care assistant for communication between nursing staff and patients, and a robot that performs simple care tasks. Ethical, social, and legal issues are addressed centrally through an integrative approach. Cliniserve has integrated various sensor and robotic systems into CARE to enable holistic, technology-supported care.
